Different days. Different times.
Puss is currently enjoying being part of a holistic case study for someone who is studying such things as zoopharmacognosy, meridians, the elements and more.
We had a very in-depth form to be completed for her, naturally, to give as much information as possible.
This was then asssessed and supervised, and a treatment plan created, and now she is on her 6th day of offering oils to her.
Word of caution: do NOT try this at home unless you are under the guidance of a trained professional, as cats’ systems cannot tolerate oils in the same ways as dogs, so everything is done in a way that is safe for cats.
Interestingly, as I was writing that last sentence I got a massive whiff of one of the oils we are using, which is currently lid on in a completely different room. The strangest things happen here!
She is really getting on with the oils, and showing many signs of release and enjoyment for inhaling them.
Inhaling goes to the limbic part of their brain which is involved with the emotions, so it helps them release emotions, same as it does for other animals too.
It’s why I recommend Pet Remedy, why I work with Aromaflow with dogs, and why Puss has had cat herb gardens and hydrosols in the past too.
Back to Puss.
She has the opportunity and ability to leave the room at any point these are offered.
Most times she has chosen to stay and inhale.
But with the larger bottle, she chose to actually get closer to it, and ended up being about 2inches away from it.
She sighs deeply, breathes deep inhalations, yawns, stretches, snoozes, and even has intense periods of licking which cover meridian points too.
I have definitely noticed she is less ‘hissy’ of late which is a great sign too.
So it is a very interesting journey and is ongoing, and I love being part of it, and being involved in it with her too.
I am all for mixing complementary medicine with traditional veterinary medicine, they both have their place.
