Yesterday we ventured to the RHS Botanical Art and Photography Exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
It was quite interesting to see what artists had produced and why. The intricacy of the work, the skill and talent that went into it.

Most of the art were watercolours. I would love to try with watercolours. I have the tools, I just haven’t started to try yet!
But yesterday helped a little to see how they make certain things, like water droplets on leaves. Obviously theirs were worlds better than what i could ever do right now, but learning is part of the process is it not?
I definitely preferred the photography though…..oh, and the cool air machines in the corners of the room lol!

These 2 photos are excerpts of the work by Rachel Wallace, and I just loved the creativity in the photography section of using objects and extra techniques to enhance and give more depth to the artist’s work.
The exhibition is free, with voluntary donation, and is running I believe until 27th July.
Easy to get to, Sloane Square Tube station short 5min walk from there in London!
My brother and I went as part of my birthday celebrations, and he very kindly treated me to a book called ‘The Medicinal Garden’ by Caroline Parker, which has recipes it it as well as detailed info on how to grow and utilise nature as a medicine cabinet, adding to what I already know and grow!
